Of course travelling in Myanmar is not comparable to that in Europe. The cars are rather old and would break down sometimes. Again and again our experience was that by improvisation and by mutual help even between competitive companies we clients did not feel uncomfortable. To come into contact with the people of Myanmar was much more important for us than those difficulties.

The political situation in Myanmar is changing every now and then, affecting the people´s life and the conditions of travel. Natürlich ist das Reisen in Myanmar nicht mit dem in Europa zu vergleichen. Die Fahrzeuge sind recht alt und fallen auch schon mal aus. Wir haben aber immer wieder erlebt, dass durch Improvisation und auch durch gegenseitige Hilfe sogar unter Wettbewerbsfirmen wir als Kunden nur wenig darunter zu leiden hatten. Die Erlebnisse unterwegs in direktem Kontakt zur Bevölkerung wiegen alle Beschwernisse auf.

Myanmar ist ein Land mit häufigen politischen Brüchen, mit Änderungen der Lage der Bevölkerung und der Reisebedingungen. Die noch geplanten Bildseiten werden daher nur zeigen können, wie es einmal war.
